Zer0 is a new Assassin playable character in Borderlands 2. Very little is known about him -- even his real name. Zer0 will callout often, but he can communicate after a fashion: the holo-emitter on his helmet displays various symbols and images, including hearts, smiley faces, and question marks. The number zero is displayed whenever he kills an enemy, leading to his namesake. When he speaks, almost everything he says is in haiku. Curiously, he only seems to have four fingers, and while he grunts when jumping and swinging his sword, he never begins to pant while running. This has led to some speculation that he may not even be human. There are theories to zero that indicate her may be an Eridian Alien from the first borderlands. Proof of this would be that he has only 4 fingers which is the same amount that the Eridians have and He has the same toe structure which is a foot split in half down the center. He also communicates not by speaking like most people believe but through echo recorders and since the Eridians spoke telepathically this is a good sign as well. Some say the holes in his suit show his skin and it matches the Eridians but this has yet to be confirmed. Zeros voice changes in a few of the borderlands Trailers and is even heard speaking in a womans voice in one of them which indicates he speaks through many different recorded voices on an echo recorder. If he is one of these creatures he is the last known one of its kind.
